Description
Perfect for bringing spring colour to smaller gardens, Prunus incisa 'Mikinori' is a rounded large shrub or small tree that produces a mass of palest pink, semi-double blooms in spring. The green foliage that follows turns to rich autumnal shades later in the year, delivering superb seasonal interest. This compact flowering cherry makes a superb specimen plant, and can be grown in containers where space is particularly limited. Height: 400cm (157"). Spread: 300cm (118").

How to Grow
Plant cherry trees in any moist, fertile, well-drained soil. Incorporate plenty of compost or well-rotted manure prior to planting. Choose a final position in full sun.
More Info
Water Prunus trees regularly until fully established. Ornamental cherries require little aftercare. Simply remove any diseased, damaged or crossing shoots to maintain a healthy framework. When pruning cherries it is preferable to wait until midsummer to avoid the risk of ‘silver leaf’ infection. Apply a mulch of well rotted manure or compost around the base of the plant in spring, taking care not to mound mulch up against the stem.
