Description
Our garden ready plants are selected for garden performance, straight from the nursery. We send them to you 'green' ahead of flowering (but please note some varieties may show a few blooms), which means plants will establish quickly and all their energy goes into producing better roots, so they produce more flowers throughout the season.

Winter primroses so quick to flower, you'll get a show this autumn! This quick flowering colour collection offers the longest flowering window we've ever seen among primroses. Confuse the seasons in your garden with vibrant colour from as early as September, right through to spring. Primrose 'Autumn Colours Mixed' are perfect for long lasting patio containers, hanging baskets and border edging. Height: 25cm (10"). Spread: 20cm (8").

Culinary note: Some parts of these flowers are edible. Try the sweet tasting petals on top of salads or even pancakes, crystallise them for use as cake decorations too. For more details about edible flowers click here.

How to Grow
Gradually acclimatise primrose plants to outdoor conditions over 7 to 10 days, prior to planting out in their final positions in beds, borders and containers. Choose a position in full sun or semi shade on any fertile, moist, well drained soil.
More Info
During the winter, avoid over-watering container grown plants as this may cause the plants to rot in cold conditions. Deadhead faded primrose flowers to encourage more blooms to be produced. Divide over-crowded clumps of primroses from late autumn to early spring.
