Description

The pinkest of any Philadelphus!  Philadelphus ‘Petite Perfume Pink’ boasts hundreds of fragrant flowers for no less than 6 weeks over the summer, and is perfect for low maintenance, urban gardens.

Philadelphus ‘Petite Perfume Pink’ is a compact, mound-forming variety that will happily grow in a container, tolerates drought once established and even thrives in partial shade. From May to July, it bears masses of pink, four-petalled flowers with yellow stamens set against a background of dark green deciduous foliage. The blooms possess a sweet, orange-blossom fragrance that will fill the garden and attract a host of beneficial pollinators. A tough but beautiful, low-maintenance shrub that copes with challenging locations such as coastal gardens, air pollution and dry banks. It adapts to a wide range of soils from chalk to heavy clay. Suitable for planting as a border specimen, container shrub or hedging. Height and spread: 1.2m (4ft).

Plant height and spread is seasonal therefore we list by pot size rather than a defined plant size. The height and spread of the plant delivered will vary depending on the season, meaning arrival images are an indication only.

How to Grow
Grow Philadelphus plants in a sunny or semi shaded position, in any well drained soil. Prior to planting, incorporate plenty of well rotted manure or garden compost into the soil. Plant Mock Orange plants at the same depth as they were planted in their pots. Backfill the planting hole and water well to settle the soil.
More Info
Water regularly throughout the growing season until young plants are fully established. In spring, apply a mulch of well rotted manure or garden compost to the base of the plant. Philadelphus requires little pruning. After flowering cut back stems to a healthy bud and remove a fifth of the old stems to ground level.
