Description

The ‘Everest’ Series of Peruvian Lilies are well named for their awe-inspiring height! These long-stemmed Alstroemeria are so vigorous that they are best grown against a climbing frame or similar support. The exotic looking blooms are perfect for brightening up the patio or adding a splash of colour to sunny perennial borders. Flowering from early summer to November, they will provide a constant supply of cut flowers. Height: 140cm (71"). Spread: 75cm (30").

To allow us to offer you such a good price, we can't take orders for specific varieties, but whatever we decide to send, you won't be disappointed. Image is for illustration purposes only. On reciept of your plants the varieties will be named.

Plant height and spread is seasonal therefore we list by pot size rather than a defined plant size. The height and spread of the plant delivered will vary depending on the season, meaning arrival images are an indication only.

How to Grow
When all risk of frost has passed, plant Peruvian Lilies in a sunny or semi shaded position in fertile, moist, well drained soil. Alternatively, plant Alstroemeria in patio containers in soil based compost such as John Innes No.3.
More Info
Throughout the growing season, water Peruvian lilies regularly and feed container grown plants each month. When picking alstroemeria pluck the flowers rather than cutting as plucking stimulates the rhizome encourage further growth. In autumn, cut back the old Alstroemeria flower stems and apply a dry mulch of chipped bark or straw to the base of the plant to protect it from cold winter weather. Alstroemeria prefers to be left undisturbed but can be divided in autumn or spring if clumps become overcrowded.Caution: irritant to skin and eyes.
