Description
Create a cool and tropical screen on your patio with this dazzling annual climber. Compact in size, Morning Glory ‘Mini Sky Blue’ is the perfect climber for creating a lush surrounding without getting too large, yet its fast growing nature means it will quickly scramble up a support and provide a wonderful summer of colour. This versatile plant is useful in a multitude of spaces - grow it outside or in a conservatory, it’s a perfect choice for growing in a patio container with a trellis for support or at the foot of a pergola, and it’s just the right size for an obelisk where it will grow happily in the middle of a border. Height: 1.5m (5’). Spread: 30cm (12").

1 packet (30 seeds) (KA9967)

Sowing

Sow March to April. Soak seeds overnight in tepid water before sowing. Sow seed, 6mm (1/8") deep in pots or trays of soil-based potting mix and cover seeds with a layer of compost or vermiculite. Place in a propagator or seal container in a polythene bag and put in a warm place, and keep at a temperature between 20-25C (68-77F). After sowing, do not exclude light as this helps germination. Keep the surface of the compost moist but not waterlogged; germination will usually take 7-30 days.

When large enough to handle, transplant seedlings into 7.5cm (3") pots or trays. Gradually acclimatise plants to cooler conditions for a few weeks before planting out after all risk of frost, 30cm (12") apart.

More Info
For pot plants, plant into loam-based soil in 20cm (8”) pots. Grow on with plenty of light, but shade from direct sun. Remove spent flowers regularly. Water regularly until plants are fully established.
