Description
Fill your patio with the starry blooms of Laurentia 'Grande Bi-Colour'. This half-hardy annual forms a dome-shaped plant that’s just perfect for patio pots. The delicately scented blooms are a gentle blend of pale mauve-blue and white, bringing a soft shimmer to your planting schemes. This annual is easy to grow and flowers over a long period. Superb in containers or sunny beds and borders. Height and spread: 30cm (12”).

1 packet (50 laurentia seeds) (KB9367)

Sowing

Sow Laurentia seed on the surface of a good quality seed compost from January to March. Make sure that the compost is moist but not wet. Place in a propagator at 15-21C (59-70F) or seal in a clear polythene bag until after germination, which usually takes 10-21 days. Do not exclude light as this helps germination.

When seedlings are large enough to handle, transplant them into 8cm (3”) pots and grow on in cooler conditions at 10C (50F).

When all risk of frost has passed, gradually acclimatise them to outdoor conditions over a period of 7 to 10 days and transplant them into their final positions in container, beds and borders. Plant Laurentia in full sun in any moist, well drained soil.

More Info

Feed and water plants regularly, particularly during hot, dry periods. Regular deadheading of Laurentia flowers will encourage further blooms to be produced throughout the summer and extend the flowering season.

Caution: irritant to skin and eyes.
