Flowering Months

This oxygenating aquatic spreads by long creeping stems to form a dense carpet of scalloped, small green leaves. Occasionally small greenish flowers are also produced from April to June. Thriving in the margins of ponds, this hardy perennial is robust and spreads with ease, making it suitable for any size of pool. Height: 15cm (6"). Spread: 100cm (39"). Planting depth: Zones 1, 2 & 3 to 25cm (10") below water level.

How to Grow

Grow Hydrocotyle in boggy soils or submerged in the margins of ponds with the crown to a maximum depth of up to 25cm (10") below water level. Choose a position in sun or semi shade.

More Info

Hydrocotyle requires virtually no maintenance. Trim just above the water surface after foliage has died back in autumn to tidy.
