If you like plants with a little added pizzazz, you’ll love this exciting new introduction! Hydrangea macrophylla 'Royal Curly' flaunts large, rounded mopheads formed of dusky mauve-green blooms with flamboyant curly edges. This special variety makes a big impact throughout late summer and autumn with a dense, bushy habit and luxurious flower heads which reach up with 20cm (8in) across. Perfect if you’re looking for something to extend the season of interest into autumn, and thriving in partial or dappled shade they’ll be a real highlight for one of the more secluded or shaded areas of the garden. Height: 90cm (35”). Spread: 90cm (35”).

Plant height and spread is seasonal therefore we list by pot size rather than a defined plant size. The height and spread of the plant delivered will vary depending on the season, meaning arrival images are an indication only.

1 x 3 litre potted hydrangea plant (KB4735)

How to Grow
In very mild areas, grow freesia corms outdoors in full sun on moist, free draining soil. In frost prone areas it is advisable to grow them in a greenhouse or as groups in patio containers that can be moved to a frost free position over winter. Use a loam based compost such as John Innes No.2. Plant freesia corms at a depth of 7cm and 10cm (4") apart.
More Info
Water freesias frequently throughout summer. As they begin die back in the autumn, reduce watering and remove the old foliage and faded freesia flowers. Freesias that are grown in borders outdoors should be mulched with chipped bark to protect them from cold wet weather over winter. Move patio containers of bulbs to a frost free position during their dormant winter period until they burst back through the soil surface the following spring.
