Description
Eye-catching soft yellow blooms with cream-tipped petals shine out above bushy, spreading growth. An excellent garden performer, Heliomeris 'Sunsplash' is easy to grow and blooms continuously from mid-summer though to early autumn, attracting bees and butterflies to its lovely sunny blooms. The lax habit of Golden Eye means plants knit together well, creating easy carpets of colour in beds and borders. Height: 40cm (16"). Spread: 50cm (20").

Sowing
Direct sow Heliomeris seeds outdoors where they are to grow from March to May in full sun, on any well-drained soil which has been raked to a fine tilth. Heliomeris plants dislike root disturbance so are unsuitable for indoor sowing. Sow seeds thinly at a depth of 12mm (1/2") in drills spaced 30cm (12") apart. Water the ground regularly, especially during dry periods. When goldeneye seedlings are large enough to handle, thin them out to 30cm (12") apart.
More Info
Water regularly until Heliomeris plants become fully established. Remove spent Goldeneye flowers regularly to encourage further blooming.

Caution: Harmful if eaten.
