Description
From June to October, this free flowering variety is awash with colour, borne in wave after wave of sunshine yellow, daisy blooms. The flowers provide a good source of nectar for pollinating insects, but spare a few for a vase indoors – they make excellent cut flowers! Helenium ‘Lemon Sundae’ is a neat, bushy little perennial, forming a well branched plant that won’t need staking. Perfectly hardy, and easy to grow, Helenium ‘Lemon sundae’ is ideal for the front of perennial borders or patio containers. Height: 50cm (20"). Spread: 45cm (18").

How to Grow
Grow helenium plants in full sun. This hardy perennial prefers a soil that is rich in organic matter and reliably moist. Add plenty of well rotted manure or garden compost to the soil to improve its structure and fertility prior to planting.
More Info
Feed and water plants regularly until they are fully established. Deadhead faded helenium flowers to encourage more blooms to be produced. Divide overcrowded clumps of helenium in spring and apply a mulch of well rotted manure or garden compost to the base of the plant.
