Description
It’s surprising that Geums aren’t more widely seen in gardens. Their colourful blooms stand out beautifully against a backdrop of fresh, mid-green foliage. Geum coccineum ‘Cooky’ is a cheery variety with single, bright orange flowers. The blooms rise upon slender stems in late spring and early summer, providing a rich source of nectar to pollinating insects. These compact, undemanding perennials are perfect for the front of borders, especially in wildlife gardens. Height and spread: 45cm (18").

Plant height and spread is seasonal therefore we list by pot size rather than a defined plant size. The height and spread of the plant delivered will vary depending on the season, meaning arrival images are an indication only.

1 x 1 litre potted geum plant (KB4681)

How to Grow
Geums dislike soils which are prone to waterlogging in winter. Plant them in moist, fertile, well drained soil, adding plenty of compost or well rotted manure to amend heavy clay or sandy soils. Choose a position towards the front of the border in full sun.
More Info
Water Avens plants regularly until fully established. Regular deadheading will encourage more flowers to be produced throughout the summer. In spring, lift and divide overcrowded clumps of geum to maintain their vigour.
