Description
Fuchsia ‘Prosperity’ is a shrub which could be used for summer bedding or as part of a perennial planting scheme. ‘Prosperity’ can be cut and maintained as a low hedge. The red and pink flowers with a white skirt with pink veins are attractive. Ideally planted in full sun or partial shade position. Height and spread: 100cm (39").

Plant height and spread is seasonal therefore we list by pot size rather than a defined plant size. The height and spread of the plant delivered will vary depending on the season, meaning arrival images are an indication only.

1 x 9cm potted fuchsia plant (KA9932)

How to Grow
Pot up fuchsias using well drained compost such as John Innes No.3 and grow on in warm, frost-free conditions. Pinch out the growing tips while fuchsia plants are still small to promote bushier growth and more flowers. When plants are well grown and all risk of frost has passed, gradually acclimatise them to outdoor conditions over a 7 to 10 day period, before planting them in their final positions in patio containers and sunny or semi shaded borders.
More Info
Feed and water regularly throughout the growing season. Deadhead faded fuchsia flowers to encourage more blooms to be produced. Apply a deep mulch of bark around the base of hardy fuchsias in autumn to protect the roots from winter cold. Take care not to mound mulch up against the main stem. Prune stems back to a low permanent framework in spring.
