An RHS AGM variety with a lovely low, spreading habit that makes excellent ground cover. As the name suggests, Erica carnea 'Pink Spangels' bears masses of pretty pale pink flowers from February to April. The nectar rich blooms provide a valuable source of food for bees and other pollinating insects. Unlike some heathers, this versatile evergreen can be grown in almost any well drained soil and even tolerates light shade. Height: 15cm (6"). Spread: 45cm (18").

Unlike some heathers, Erica carnea cultivars are lime tolerant and will grow equally well in almost any garden soil. Grow Erica carnea in well-drained soil in full sun. When growing in containers, use a good quality soil-based potting mix.
More Info During the growing season, water Erica plants regularly and feed with a half-strength liquid fertiliser every 4 weeks. After flowering, trim Heathers with shears to remove faded blooms and promote bushy growth.
