This RHS AGM cultivar bears it's pretty white, urn shaped flowers from February to April. As summer approaches, the vibrant lime green foliage turns to bright golden yellow, which literally glows from borders, beds and containers. Heather 'Golden Starlet' is an Erica carnea cultivar, tolerating any soil - even alkaline conditions. This evergreen shrub will even cope in lightly shaded areas making it particularly versatile. Height: 15cm (6"). Spread: 45cm (18").

Unlike some heathers, Erica carnea cultivars are lime tolerant and will grow equally well in almost any garden soil. Grow Erica carnea in well-drained soil in full sun. When growing in containers, use a good quality soil-based potting mix.
More Info During the growing season, water Erica plants regularly and feed with a half-strength liquid fertiliser every 4 weeks. After flowering, trim Heathers with shears to remove faded blooms and promote bushy growth.
