How to Grow
Reinvigorate tired patio displays and remain surrounded by colour late into the season with this dazzling Dahlia Double Dreamy™ Red.
These top performing dahlias are guaranteed to put life back into the garden just when it's starting to flag. Selected for their flowering and growth, Dreamy™ dahlias bloom profusely from midsummer until the first frosts. They have been carefully bred to have excellent pot performance, remaining nicely compact and firm but not too firm, so the flowers sway in the breeze and retain a natural appearance. The large, self-cleaning flowers come in a punchy lipstick red, and stand out dramatically against shiny, dark green, almost bronze leaves. Height 45cm (18in). Spread: 40cm (16in).

1 Jumbo Plug Plant (KF1801)
Pot up Dahlia plants and grow them on in frost free conditions until large enough to plant outdoors. When all risk of frost has passed, gradually acclimatise dahlia plants to outdoor conditions over 7 to 10 days before planting out in beds, borders and containers. Choose a position in full sun on any rich fertile, moist, well drained soil.
More Info Feed and water dahlias regularly throughout the growing season. While dahlia plants are still young, pinch out the growing tip of each stem to encourage bushier growth and masses of flowers. Deadhead faded dahlia flowers to encourage more blooms to be produced. Bedding dahlia are generally grown as annuals, however dahlia tubers may be lifted in autumn and stored over winter in trays of peat or sand, in a cool but frost free position if required. They can be potted up the following spring.
