Description
This elegant palm gives a real ‘wow’ factor to conservatories and brightly lit rooms. The long, stiff fronds can reach up to 30cm (12") long and arch gracefully at the tips. This evergreen makes a fabulous structural display that will last for years. Japanese Sago Palms are extremely slow growing, often producing just one leaf in each growing season, so they will rarely outgrow the space available. Ideal for a warm, bright conservatory. Height and spread: 150cm (59").

Plant height and spread is seasonal therefore we list by pot size rather than a defined plant size. The height and spread of the plant delivered will vary depending on the season, meaning arrival images are an indication only.

Please note: Some houseplants are toxic or harmful to pets if ingested. If you believe your pet has consumed a poisonous plant then seek veterinary attention immediately. Take a sample of the plant with you.

How to Grow
Japanese Sago Palms are best positioned in a warm room with a constant temperature above 16C (60F). Choose a bright position in good light, but away from the glare of direct sun.
More Info
Water freely between spring and autumn using tepid rainwater where possible, and allowing the pot to drain well after each watering. In winter, reduce watering, but do not allow the compost to dry out. House plants should be fed regularly between March and September when they are in active growth. Handle Cycas with care as the fronds are easily damaged and replacement fronds take a long time to grow.
