Description
Few plants can compete with Cordylines for colour and architecture! Cordyline ‘Pink Star’ is a firework of a plant, with stiff, linear foliage that explodes from a stout stems. The evergreen leaves are fuchsia pink with darker burgundy variegation. Although grown as a foliage plant, mature Cordylines may also produce panicles of small, creamy-white flowers in early summer. Commonly known as the Cabbage Palm, these hardy shrubs are a familiar sight in coastal areas due to their ability to withstand salt-laden winds. Whether your garden style is traditional or contemporary, Cordyline ‘Pink Star’ creates a showy focal point for sunny borders and containers. Height and spread: 1m (3').

Plant height and spread is seasonal therefore we list by pot size rather than a defined plant size. The height and spread of the plant delivered will vary depending on the season, meaning arrival images are an indication only.

How to Grow
Grow Cordylines on fertile, well drained soil. Choose a sheltered position in full sun. Cordylines are particularly well suited to mild coastal locations but do enjoy a fertile soil, so it is well worth incorporating some well rotted manure into the soil when planting.
More Info
Feed and water regularly until fully established. Once established, Cordylines need little attention, but will require some winter protection should temperatures dip below-5C (23F). In cold areas it may be preferable to grow Cordylines in large patio containers that can be moved undercover during the coldest months.
