Description
A striking, architectural evergreen that reaches an impressive height at maturity. Cordyline australis ‘Red Sensation’ brings an exotic feel to the garden with its mop of strappy, bronze foliage. As the plant matures a tall, bare stem emerges creating an architectural tree-like appearance. In summer, the white blooms make a showy display and fill the air with their distinctive perfume. A fabulous, low maintenance focal point for a sheltered garden, especially in those challenging coastal locations. Height: 6m (19'). and spread: 3m (10’).

1 x 2 litre potted cordyline plant (KC7694)

How to Grow
Grow Cordylines on fertile, well drained soil. Choose a sheltered position in full sun. Cordylines are particularly well suited to mild coastal locations but do enjoy a fertile soil, so it is well worth incorporating some well rotted manure into the soil when planting.
More Info
Feed and water regularly until fully established. Once established, Cordylines need little attention, but will require some winter protection should temperatures dip below-5C (23F). In cold areas it may be preferable to grow Cordylines in large patio containers that can be moved undercover during the coldest months.
