Description

Large flowers with vibrant yellow throats and zingy colours make Calibrachoa ‘Cabaret Bumble Bee Collection’ an outstanding choice for filling containers, baskets and window boxes. It forms large, cascading mounds that create dense masses of colour from June until October. The trumpet-shaped blooms stay open even in lower light, are heat tolerant and self-cleaning so no tedious dead-heading is needed. Whereas other bedding plants provide little food for beneficial pollinators, Calibrachoa ‘Cabaret Bumble Bee Collection’ is a magnet for bees and other insects making it perfect for wildlife-friendly gardens. Height and spread: 30cm (12in).

How to Grow
Pot up calibrachoa plants on delivery and grow them on in warm frost-free conditions for transplanting later on. Pinch out the growing tip of each stem to encourage branching and form a bushier plant that will produce more flowers later on. When all risk of frost has passed, gradually acclimatise mini petunias to outdoor conditions over a period of 7 to 10 days, before transplanting them outdoors into baskets, window boxes and containers in well-drained soil, in full sun. Alternatively, if space allows, plant plugs directly into flower pouches, baskets or containers to be moved outside after the last frost.

Feed and water calibrachoa plants regularly, particularly during hot, dry periods. Take care not to over-water during cooler periods as this may cause the stems to rot. Regular deadheading of faded calibrachoa flowers will encourage further blooms to be produced throughout the summer.
