Flowering Months
Feed and water Begonia plants frequently throughout the growing season taking care not to over-water, as this will cause new flower buds to drop. Deadhead faded begonia flowers regularly to extend the flowering period and encourage more blooms to be produced.
Begonia plugs can be planted straight into flower pouches but are best potted on first and grown on in bright, frost-free conditions if they are to be displayed in baskets, window boxes, pots and beds. Begonia plants can be transplanted into their final containers once they have increased in size. When all risk of frost has passed, acclimatise begonia plants to outdoor conditions over a period of 7 to 10 days, before placing them in their final positions. Choose a sunny or semi shaded position that is protected from strong winds.

Huge Plants 2015-10-18

These plants really came into their own from August onwards. They were dripping with flowers and not affected by the weather, hot, cold or rainy. Currently in mid October the plants have more flowers than at any point in the summer with no sign of giving up. I certainly will be growing these again next year

Fantastic plants 2015-01-09

As said earlier they were slow to start, I have them in large troughs, now they are 30cm high and still growing, I will buy more next year, for me and my friends, the leaves alone are eye catching.

These are worth waiting for. 2014-07-17

These plants were very slow to start. Lost a few at the start, not sure why, it could have been me overwatering so I'm not going to complain. Over the last few days these plants have really come on. The colour of the foliage and the flowers are so vibrant. I had decided I wouldn't bother with these again but I've changed my mind. Strong plants that have been worth the wait. What a display.

These are amazing 2014-06-12

I am writing this on 6th December, and my Begonia Whoppers are still thriving in my sheltered front garden! I bought these after reading a recommendation in Which? Gardening. The plants were a bit slow to start, and then what a display they put on once they established themselves. Almost forming a hedge, they were very easy to maintain. They were attention getting, so stopped passers by in their tracks. My neighbour even watered them voluntarily whilst we were on holiday, as he gets the best view of them. I rarely do the same planting twice, but I am very tempted to have these again in 2015.
