Description

The elegant spear-shaped leaves of Aglaonema ‘Orange Star’ shine out in a stunning coral red, surrounded by a contrasting deep green margin. Also known as a ‘Chinese evergreen’, this decorative foliage plant is slow growing and low maintenance. Grow it in bright but indirect sunlight and keep it away from cold draughts. Height and Spread: 50cm (20”).

How to Grow
Light conditions depend on the cultivar. The greater the variegation the more light is required but do not place in direct sunlight which can scorch the leaves. Water thoroughly in the summer to keep it moist but avoid letting it stand in water. Mist the plant to raise the humidity. During the winter, reduce watering. Avoid drafty windows, the warmer the happier your plant will be.

Water frequently to maintain evenly moist compost. Avoid leaving Aglaonema in standing water as this may cause stem rot. House plants should be fed regularly between March and September when they are in active growth. Chinese Evergreen will benefit from regular misting to increase humidity and prevent the leaf edges drying out.
