How to use the Layar app

Bring your Thompson & Morgan catalogue to life with Layar, an interactive app which will allow you to watch videos about selected products, see extra product pictures and information, share interesting content with friends and family via social media and even make purchases using the ‘Buy now’ option.

Here’s how:

• Download the Layar app onto your smart phone or tablet (IOS and Android)


• Look out for the Layar logo on selected pages in your T&M; catalogue


• Open the app, and with the screen hovering over the catalogue page displaying the logo, tap to scan the page.


• See the page load on your screen. It will look like the catalogue page, but with various buttons and arrows which will take you to the extra interactive options.


• Once the page has loaded onto your device, simply tap the appropriate buttons and arrows on the screen to watch videos, browse through picture galleries, share content via social media, contact us or to purchase the items you’re viewing.


• You don’t need to keep holding your phone or tablet over the catalogue page once it’s scanned; simply move your device to where it’s comfortable for you to view the content and tap ‘Pop out to continue’ at the bottom of the screen.


• You can even view the interactive pages later at your leisure or show them to a friend - the app will save the pages you’re most interested in if you tap the star icon in the bottom right hand corner of your device’s screen. When you return to the app, go to the menu and choose ‘Recent content’ to view the pages again.
