Trainee Account Manager

As a supplier of horticultural products for leading Media groups and Horticultural publications, the successful applicant will be providing analytical and administration support to the Reader Offer Manager and the Reader Offer Team. This exciting role also offers the opportunity to meet with clients and plan and develop product offerings focused to their requirements. The ideal candidate will be comfortable producing product costing and sales analysis and must have a good working knowledge of Excel. Attention to detail is key as well as a flexible approach and the ability to act on own initiative.

Mail Order Design Assistant

An opportunity is available for a Graphic Design Assistant to join the UK’s most successful mail order and online horticultural company, based in Ipswich, Suffolk, mailing in excess of 10 million catalogues each year.

Working within a busy design and marketing team, the Graphic Design Assistant will assist in the design and co-ordination of mail order catalogues and direct marketing materials for the company’s brands. As a Graphic Design Assistant your main responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to:

  • Following briefs for catalogue design, including brand guidelines, producing initial artwork for review
  • Making amendments and corrections as required and to see the project through to produce print ready files
  • Produce accompanying print items for mailing packs, including order forms, leaflets and envelopes
  • Source images and product information to ensure catalogue pages are complete for initial review
  • Keep up-to-date with changes, trends and developments in the industry and being pro-active in using this knowledge to further enhance the Company’s printed marketing materials

The successful Graphic Design Assistant will have practical experience using InDesign and possess the following skills and experience:

  • Creative flair and an excellent eye for detail
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Adaptable with the ability to quickly switch priorities depending on current demands to ensure deadlines are met
  • Experience in producing catalogue artwork, along with an appreciation of the need to utilise sales data to produce effective marketing materials is desirable
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word/Excel) would be an advantage
  • Flexible regarding working hours in order to achieve deadlines
