Spinacia oleracea. Dark green, semi-savoy-leaved variety producing plenty of 'baby leaves'. Spinach Picasso is slow to bolt (run to seed). Perfect in containers. Can be grown all year indoors for 'baby leaves'.

Sow seeds from March to August. Sow seeds thinly direct outside or in containers, 13mm (½in) deep. Prolong the cropping season by sowing thinly in containers or windowboxes at regular intervals.

Thin as necessary to 25-50mm (1-2in) apart.

Keep well watered during dry weather.

Orders for packets of seed incur a P&P charge of £1.95.

Where an order includes both packets of seeds and other products a maximum P&P charge of £6.90 will apply - regardless of the number of items ordered.

    I sowed this in January on the window cill and used it in salads. Then nto the garden, and now in the full sun, its still brilliant. Also, an added bonus is that once cut it lasts in the frig fresh, tasty and crunchy for salads or stir-fry for 4-5 days. A superb dark & fresh green. I could'nt ask for more !
