Description

An exciting breakthrough in breeding. Enormous, eye-catching, richly coloured foliage, with leaves up to 30cm (12 inches) long. Quick to grow, making a spectacular house or patio plant to brighten up any shady corner. Height: 45-55cm (18-22in).

Sowing Instructions

Sow seed on the surface of a good free draining, damp seed compost. Do not cover the seed. Place in a propagator or seal container inside a polythene bag and place at 20-25C (68-77F) until after germination which usually takes 10-20 days. Do not exclude light as this helps germination.

Can be sown at any time of the year.

Growing Instructions

Transplant seedlings when large enough to handle into trays or 7.5cm (3in) pots. When well grown pot on into 15cm (6in) pots. Grow in a well drained, well lit spot with light shade from direct sunlight. Remove flower spikes as they appear to maintain the best foliage quality.
