A classic 'hardneck' (Rocambole in the USA) aptly named as from Lautrec in South West France widely regarded as France's finest garlic. Very pretty, white outer skin and deep pink cloves. Harvest July. English production.
Garlic Scapes (aka Rocamboles). These tender green shoots form at the top of the stiff flower stems of hardneck garlic and are increasingly popular for adding flavour to a wide range of dishes - stir-fries, soups, salads, chopped and sautéed in butter and added to mashed potatoes or omelettes.
