Rarely-seen, pure white field poppies. The simple purity of this single colour, Poppy Bridal White makes a dramatic display when sown in drifts in borders in the autumn or spring.

Sow seeds from March to April, thinly, 3mm (1/8in) deep in drills 30cm (12in) apart in well-cultivated soil which has been raked to a fine tilth. Water ground regularly, especially in dry periods.Seeds can also be sown outdoors in August to September for early summer flowering next year.

When large enough to handle, thin out seedlings to 15cm (6in) apart.

Orders for packets of seed incur a P&P charge of £1.95.

    This poppy must be planted exactly as per instructions --but if you do, this is a flower of blazing purity nodding in sunlight breezes, and luminously enchanting at night in a "moon garden." A must have for those of us who like white gardens. If you own a meadow, add the "Bridal White" poppy to liven the usual mix of flowers. Autumn plantings produce earlier Spring flowers.
