Germinate at 20-30C (68-86F) on the surface of a good free draining, damp seed compost. Apply a fine sprinkling of vermiculite, but do not cover the seed completely. Place in a propagator or seal container inside a polythene bag until after germination which usually takes 10-21 days. Do not exclude light, as this helps germination.

Transplant seedlings, when large enough to handle into trays or 7.5cm (3in) pots. Grow on in cooler conditions for 10-15 days before planting out. Plant outside after all risk of frost, 30cm (12in) apart, or grow on in 7.5cm (3in) pots indoors in a cool, well ventilated position with shade from direct sun.

Seeds and garden supplies will normally be delivered within the time period stated against each product as detailed above.

  1. What a shame

Lovely flowers a real statement as long as it doesn't rain - then they turn into a soggy mess.

Thank you very much for your review. I am glad that you have been happy with your purchase. Petunias are very susceptible to weather conditions, so they can look unsightly in wet conditions. However they will be fine once the conditions improve.
