Sowed these seeds 2 or 3 weeks ago, just lifted the plastic bag off and was amazed to see 14 seedlings.
Before sowing I soaked the seed in warm water for 36 hours, topping it up every few hours with hot water, then carefully filed a bit of the shell with a nail file. Stop as soon as you see the lighter colour of the seed inside. Then placed the seeds in a pot, watered and covered with a plastic bag. Mind you, we are in the middle of a heatwave so this must have helped.
Thank you for your review. I hope we can continue to be of service.

Bought these last year and had mostly all the seeds I sowed germinated quickly. Yes you need to wait is a bit longer to see the results than if you are growing from bulbs but I now have around 10 healthy plants for less than the price of a single bulb. - so totally worth it. Although labelled perennial , it did not look too healthy in the frost so overwintered them indoors.
