Petunia 'Cremissimo'

Half-hardy Annual

  • Fluorescent blooms following in the footsteps of two-tone Petunia 'Peach Sundae'
  • Upright plants for containers, borders and hanging baskets
  • Blooms bounce back after rainfall
Bright, brash, in your face, there's nothing shy about Petunia 'Cremissimo'! Despite the delicate look to the big trumpet blooms, this tough petunia shows great weather resistance, quickly bouncing back after heavy rain. Vibrant yellow centres bleed out to an effervescent pink for a truly unique look to your petunia planting schemes. Add summer-long colour to patio pots and bedding displays with these compact upright plants, or set them in the top tier of mixed hanging baskets. Height 25cm (10"). Spread: 40cm (16").

Pot up petunia plants and grow them on in warm frost-free conditions for transplanting later on. Alternatively, plant plugs directly into flower pouches.Pinch out the growing tip of each stem to encourage branching and form a bushier plant which will produce more flowers later on. When all risk of frost has passed, gradually acclimatise them to outdoor conditions over a period of 7 to 10 days, before transplanting them outdoors into baskets, window boxes and containers in well drained soil, in full sun.
Feed and water petunia plants regularly, particularly during hot, dry periods. Regular deadheading of petunia flowers will encourage further blooms to be produced throughout the summer.

  1. Disappointing plants

    By Diane Greenwood 06-05-2016

I ordered my plants months ago to try and get as early a delivery as possible. Sorry to say that the plants that were delivered were yellowing (from being in the post for 5 days) and very small - one of them had just three tiny leaves and was very weak - the others werent much better. I have managed to keep them alive but they have a long way to go before they will flower - way behind all my other bedding and basket plants. Quality control is seriously lacking and the posting policy needs to be reviewed.
