Pot up heuchera plants, and grow them on in frost free conditions until large enough to plant outside. When they are well grown and all risk of frost has passed, acclimatise them to outdoor conditions over 7 to 10 days before planting them outdoors. Heuchera plants dislike soils which are particularly dry or have a tendency to waterlogging. Plant them in moist, fertile, well drained soil, adding plenty of compost or well rotted manure to amend heavy clay or sandy soils. Choose a position towards the front of the border in full sun or semi shade.
Feed and water coral flower plants regularly until they are fully established.Apply a mulch of well rotted manure around the crown of each plant each spring. Lift and divide clumps of heuchera every 3 years in autumn to maintain vigorous, healthy growth.

  1. Just the Job

    By Marjorie Kellington 19-09-2012

I was over the moon this morning when I received these plants. I hadn't read the reviews and was just expecting 6 unnamed plants. However, the plugs are all named and are a lovely selection, just what I would have chosen myself. Have potted them on and will now have to treat them against vine weevils, as they too love these plants and I have previously lost plants because of them.

  2. Excellent range of colours

    By DEBORAH SEWELL 24-07-2011

I ordered the 6 different plants option. They arrived promptly, lovely healthy plugs in a great range of colours. Having potted them up on arrival they have now grown on really quickly into vigorous plants. They have already drawn admiring comments from visitors. So pleased with them I am thinking of ordering more!
