Pot up plug plants into 9cm pots and grow aubretia on in frost free conditions until large enough to plant outdoors. When plants are well grown, acclimatise them to outdoor conditions over 7 to 10 days. Plant aubretia in full sun or part shade, on well drained neutral or alkaline soil in rockeries, border edges and containers. On heavier soils, incorporate plenty of grit to improve drainage, prior to planting.
Water regularly until plants are fully established. Cut aubretia plants back hard after flowering to promote a fresh flush of growth and maintain its compact form.

  1. poor quality

    By STEFAN FRACZEK 24-04-2016

The first batch of these were of poor quality, yellow and black leaves. They were postmarked with the date Tuesday 22nd March which was the Tuesday before Easter, they arrived the following Tuesday 1 week after they had been sent.Customer service arranged to have a replacement sent out which arrived a few weeks later in the same poor state.Out of the 144 plugs sent I might be lucky to salvage about 60 of them. I give the 2 stars for the fact that customer service are in the UK and that the person I spoke to was very helpful.

  2. Poor quality plants

    By Raymond Tatnell 23-04-2016

Plants arrived in a very poor condition, soaked in water and laying all over the packaging and not in their little pots. All plants are yellow and are dyeing in front of my eyes.Very poor quality from a suppsedly top UK mail order plant supplier. This is not the first time I have had problems with Thompson & Morgan plants. I will not be buying from them again.Complete waste of money. I have contacted customer care but as with previous experience they are not very quick in replying.
