Dianthus 'Green Trick' is going down a storm in the Dutch cut flower auctions, and is set to be a favourite for modern wedding bouquets. The extraordinary pompom shaped, green flowers are 5cm (2”) wide and last an incredible 4 to 6 weeks in a vase. This modern relative of the ever popular Sweet William performs superbly and flowers within just 8 weeks of planting. Often grown as a biennial, this short lived perennial is ideal for cottage garden borders, beds and containers. Height: 45cm (18”). Spread: 30cm (12”).

Pot up plug plants into 9cm pots and grow them on in warm frost free conditions for transplanting into borders and containers later on. When all risk of frost has passed, gradually acclimatise to outdoor conditions over 7 - 10 days before planting outdoors after all risk of frost has passed. Plant Sweet Williams out in beds and borders on any fertile, well drained soil in full sun.

Feed and water Sweet William plants regularly until they are fully established. Deadhead faded Sweet William flowers to encourage more blooms to be produced throughout the summer.

Seeds and garden supplies will normally be delivered within the time period stated against each product as detailed above. Plants, bulbs, corms, tubers, shrubs, trees, potatoes etc are delivered at the appropriate time for planting and will be stated on the product page or in your order acknowledgement page and email.
