Pot up eustoma plants and grow them on in frost free conditions until large enough to plant outdoors. When plants are well grown and all risk of frost has passed, acclimatise them to outdoor conditions over 7 to 10 days before transplanting them into their final positions. Grow lisianthius in containers and borders, in fertile, neutral to alkaline, well drained soil. Choose a sheltered position in full sun, with protection from strong winds. Avoid disturbing the roots when transplanting lisianthius as this may slow their subsequent growth.
Feed and water plants regularly, particularly during hot, dry periods. Lisianthius flower stems will require staking with short canes or plant supports.

  1. Disappointed

    By Jenny Ehrhardt 15-09-2015

I love lisianthus, they were part of my wedding bouquet so was really pleased to order these. Potted them on but they didn't grow for ages in the greenhouse. Eventually some of them got to a few inches tall indoors so I planted 7 out and left 4 inside. None have got beyond about 6 inches tall and no buds at all. The RHS website said not to disturb the roots when potting on but this is impossible due to how they are sent. Disappointed for the price.
