Plant Nerine lilies in a sunny position in sandy, free draining soil. Nerine bulbs prefer shallow planting with the pointed tip protruding just above the soil surface. Nerines thrive when clumps become congested making them particularly well suited to growing in containers. When planting Nerines in containers use a loam based compost such as John Innes No.2 and position in full sun.
Water freely while Nerine bulbs are in active growth but during dormant periods, keep the compost just moist. After flowering, feed bulbs with a low nitrogen fertilizer. In winter, outdoor grown Nerines will benefit from a dry mulch, such as straw, to protect them from hard frosts. Move container grown plants to a warm, dry position. Nerines may be slow to flower in the first year or two until they are fully established. Avoid moving them as this may further delay the development of these colourful nerine flowers.

Late, damp, mouldy and sprouting - so disappointed
By Liz Sherratt 29-05-2016
These Nerine bulbs arrived on 19th May 2016, which is already late for the estimated despatch, although T and M had informed me of the expected delay.
Sadly, when I opened the box the mouldy smell was overpowering.
I then noticed green through the holes, so I ripped open one of the pouches and the Nerine bulbs were damp, covered in mould and sprouting!!!!!
I was so disappointed that I eMailed T and M straight away with photos of the problem, but apart from the standard 'we're receiving a high no. of eMails at the moment' reply I have still heard nothing back 10 DAYS LATER!!!!
Terrible bulbs and terrible customer non-service.
I came on here to order some other bulbs with the Free P and P offer, but I'm not going to bother, I can't risk another disappointment.
