Hydrangea arborescens prefers a sunny or semi shaded position, with shelter from cold, drying winds. Grow hydrangea plants in any non alkaline, fertile, moist soil. Improve the soil prior to planting by adding with plenty of well rotted manure or garden compost, ensuring that it is mixed in thoroughly and deeply.
Water regularly until plants are fully established. Leave the faded hydrangea flower heads in place until the new buds swell in spring to protect the delicate buds from frost damage. Prune in spring, reducing the stems to restrict their growth to the available space and to improve the shape of the plant. After pruning hydrangeas, apply a mulch of well rotted manure or compost around the base of the plant. Caution: Contact with hydrangea foliage may irritate the skin and eyes and all parts are harmful if eaten.

I purchased annabelle incrediball for my mum as she loves hydrangeas.
Was disappointed when it arrived as it was smaller than I expected and the pot was squashed on one side.
It then developed some lesions on the foliage which my mum managed to treat and it started shooting up.
However not a sign of these massive blooms just lots of leaves.
A real let down after my mum saved it twice and looking so forward to receiving it.

Was very disappointed when plants arrived, but thought wait till next summer and see how they grow. Two spindly plants later, one with no flowers, the other with one flower, but very small, nothing like the large blooms expected, so even more disappointed. They were not cheap, will never buy from you again, in fact aught to sue under trades description act!!!! I'd be even happier if you would stop emailing me. Doubt whether you'll print this.
