Rose 'Inner Wheel Forever®'

Rosa

Hardy Shrub

The new must-have floribunda for all rose lovers, the UK's most popular plant! Dense clusters of perfectly perfumed electric pink blooms flower all summer long, with healthy disease resistant foliage and more than one rose per stem. An impressive bloomer with clusters of 5-9 blooms that fully double up to 10cm (4in) wide flowers. The abundance of about 60 petals will help to generate a light, fresh scent.

Rose 'Inner Wheel Forever®' has a beautiful habit that will fit perfectly into any setting and is a welcome addition to any room as a cut flower. This modern compact rose celebrates and supports the work of the Inner Wheel, the largest women's service voluntary organisation, operating in 103 countries worldwide. £1 from each sale of Rose 'Inner Wheel Forever®' will support the charity work carried out by Inner Wheel members. Developed by Internationally-renowned rose breeder Rosa Esklund, following an extensive hand pollination programme, that trialled for four years. Height: 90cm (35in). Spread: 75cm (30in).

Culinary note: Some parts of these flowers are edible. Rosehips and petals can be used in making syrups and the petals will add flavour to cold drinks or fruit dishes. For more details about edible flowers click here.

Plant bareroot roses at the earliest opportunity following delivery. To avoid the risk from the build-up of harmful soil organisms and disease, choose an open position in full sun that has not been planted with roses in recent years. Roses enjoy a rich, fertile, well drained soil. Dig in plenty of well rotted manure or garden compost to the soil prior to planting roses and add a small handful of granular fertiliser to the planting hole.
Feed and water rose plants regularly and deadhead faded flowers. When growing roses it is necessary to remove any suckers that arise from the base of the plant, below the graft union. In winter, begin pruning floribunda roses by removing dead and diseased wood, and any rubbing or damaged branches. Then reduce the stems to 20cm (10") above ground level. Side shoots should be reduced to two buds. Apply a mulch of well rotted manure or compost to the base of the plant after pruning.
