Grow Cat Grass all year round, in the greenhouse or on a sunny windowsill. Sow on the surface of a good free draining, damp seed compost and lightly cover the seed with vermiculite. Place in a propagator or seal the seed tray inside a polythene bag, maintaining a temperature of 18-24C (65-75F) until after germination which usually takes 14-21 days. Do not exclude light as this helps germination. If grown indoors solely as a cat treat, keep things clean by sowing small batches of seed in pure vermiculite.Once germinated, grow seedlings on in cooler conditions until they reach a height of 15cm (6") before making them available to your cat.

Grow Hordeum plants in small pots from successive sowings. Once used, replace the chewed plants with a fresh pot of seedlings to provide a constant supply. Later in the season, cut back any taller growth to promote fresh new re-growth. If planted outdoors as an ornamental grass, grow in any fertile, well drained soil in full sun.
Seeds and garden supplies will normally be delivered within the time period stated against each product as detailed above.

Reviews
  1. Top class grass

    By KRYSTAL CUNNINGHAM 10-02-2017

Our cat is very precious to us so we want her to have the best and with all the wildlife in our gardens and unwanted visitors, we can't always be sure the grass grown in our garden is the best it can be and with pellets and spray we use we can't risk her health that is when we decided to try this grass, just WOW. I know that sounds crazy, I haven't personally tried this, honest! But our cat, Jingle, LOVES this grass, and now refuses to eat grown grass, she turns her nose up at it and sits by one of the three planters I put the seeds in. I was VERY impressed at how quickly this grew, it was so fast and thank God it was because it doesn't last long. It seems to help her furballs and settle her tummy more. Great product for your furry friends
