Lobelia ‘Fountain White’ is an essential container and basket filler. This half-hardy annual delivers a cascading froth of sparkling white flowers accompanied by small, dark green leaves. Low and trailing, it is great for spilling over rockeries too, delivering additional summer colour after the main spring display has finished. These generous plants are smothered in flowers from early summer until early autumn and make an indispensable companion to other Lobelias and bedding plants. Height: 15cm (6in). Spread: 45cm (18in).

How to Grow

Lobelia plug plants can be planted directly into flower pouches. For baskets, beds and window boxes, pot up plugs and grow them on in warm, frost free conditions for transplanting at a later date. When all risk of frost has passed, gradually acclimatise lobelia plants to outdoor conditions over a period of 7 to 10 days before transplanting them into their final containers in any, well drained soil, in a sunny or semi-shaded position.
