How to Grow
Spectacular green and gold variegated foliage makes this a striking specimen plant for the patio or conservatory! The stiff, sword-like leaves cover its woody, upright stems creating an evergreen focal point that remains reasonably compact. With time, it will develop into an impressive specimen plant. Yucca elephantipes 'Jewel’ is half-hardy so it is best grown as a house or patio plant which can be moved to a frost free location over winter. It is easy to grow and requires minimal maintenance to keep it looking good. Height: 10m (32’). Spread: 4.5m (14’).

Outdoors, grow Yucca in full sun in any well drained soil in a sheltered postion. This Yucca is best grown in a large pot which can be moved to a frost free conservatory or greenhouse over winter. Indoors, position Yucca in a bright, sunny spot at an average room temperature - these plants will thrive in a south facing position. They can cope well in part shade but this will significantly slow their growth.
More Info Water freely between spring and autumn, allowing the pot to drain well after each watering. In winter, reduce watering but do not allow the compost to dry out. House plants should be fed regularly between March and September when they are in active growth. The lower leaves of Yucca will naturally die back as the plant grows. These should be carefully removed, to maintain a tidy appearance.
