Description
Sometimes hedges can look magnificent during spring, summer and even autumn, but then lose their lustre during the winter, many of them becoming dull and grey. We have decided to brighten up this problem by choosing five varieties of plants that are known for their interesting or colourful stems as well as their foliage. Golden Weeping Willow will produce a dense growth of leaves over spring and summer and when they fall, golden coloured stems will be revealed. The Twisted Willow will have contorted stems , spiralling in random directions and the Common Dogwood, Red Leaf Rose and Scarlet Willow all have bright stems in shades of red and purple. The effect will be a colourful bare hedge that will maintain interest and look good all year around. Height: 12m (39'). Spread: 8m (26'). Planting Distance: 45cm (18"). (3 plants per metre for a single line hedge).
