Description
We have chosen five varieties of plant that will provide you with an effective hedging scheme and at the same time be greatly appreciated by wildlife. All the varieties of plant will produce flowers that will be attractive to pollinating insects throughout spring and early summer and the dense growth will provide a haven for nesting birds too. By autumn, the berries and fruits will appear and will help to provide all sorts of wildlife with food over the winter period. The varieties are: Elderberry, Golden Elderberry, Dog Rose, Wild Cherry and Crab Apple. Height: 12m (39'). Spread: 8m (26'). Planting Distance: 30cm (12"). (4 plants per metre for a single line hedge).

Water regularly until fully established. Apply a mulch of well rotted manure or compost around the base of the plants in spring, taking care not to mound mulch up against the stems.

Seeds and garden supplies will normally be delivered within the time period stated against each product as detailed above. Plants, bulbs, corms, tubers, shrubs, trees, potatoes, etc. are delivered at the appropriate time for planting or potting on. Delivery times will be stated on the product page above, or in your order acknowledgement page and email.

Orders for packets of seed incur a delivery charge of £2.99.

Orders which include any other products will incur a delivery charge of £5.99.
