Description
Every gardener should grow wallflowers for their kaleidoscope colours and sweet, honey fragrance! Wallflower 'Sunset' is an F1 hybrid making these plants more vigorous, longer-flowering and stronger-growing than other cultivars. Versatile and undemanding, they will bring a bright splash of colour to garden borders, beds and patio pots, coping in even the poorest of soils. The spring blooms provide a valuable source of early nectar for pollinating insects making this a good choice for wildlife areas as well as cottage gardens and formal bedding schemes. Choose your favourite colours or buy them all for a dazzling display! These short lived perennials are generally grown as biennials. Height and spread: 30cm (12").

Culinary note: The tender young shoots can be cooked and eaten as a vegetable. For more details about edible flowers click here.

How to Grow
Grow Wallflowers outdoors on free draining soil in full sun. Erysimum plants are tolerant of most neutral or alkaline soils and will even cope well on very poor soils.
More Info
Feed and water plants until they are fully established. Trim back wallflowers after flowering to prevent them from becoming leggy.
