Description

Viola ‘Blackjack’ is a mesmerising viola with inky black, velveteen petals paired with a vividly contrasting white and yellow eye. These exquisite little charmers look fabulous planted in containers or drifting informally along the edge of a border where they shine out like little jewels. Height: 15cm (6in). Spread: 25cm (10in).

Culinary note - Some parts of these flowers are edible. Try the sweet tasting petals on top of salads or even pancakes, crystallise them for use as cake decorations too. For more details about edible flowers click here.

Garden Ready Plants - Our garden ready plants are selected for garden performance, straight from the nursery. We send them to you 'green' ahead of flowering (but please note some varieties may show a few blooms), which means plants will establish quickly and all their energy goes into producing better roots, so they produce more flowers throughout the season.

How to Grow
Gradually acclimatise garden ready pansy plants to outdoor conditions before planting them in any well drained soil, in sun or semi shade.
More Info
Feed and water frequently, but take care not to overwater in winter as this can cause root damage should the compost freeze. Deadhead faded pansy flowers before they set seed to prolong the flowering period.

Plants, bulbs, corms, tubers, shrubs, trees, potatoes, etc. are delivered at the appropriate time for planting or potting on. Delivery times will be stated on the product page above, or in your order acknowledgement page and email.

Orders for packets of seed incur a delivery charge of £2.99.

Orders which include any other products will incur a delivery charge of £6.99.
