How to Grow
Pot up plugs and grow them on in cool, frost free conditions until plants are well established. When all risk of frost has passed, gradually acclimatise to outdoor conditions over 7-10 days. Plant Mullein into well drained, neutral or alkaline soil in full sun.Verbascum will thrive on poor, gravelly soils.

Established Verbascum plants require little maintenance. Deadhead faded flower spikes to encourage more verbascum flowers to be produced. On very fertile soils, verbascum will grow larger in size and the tall flower stems may require staking with garden canes.Cut back the old stems at the base of the plant in autumn.
