Feed plants weekly with a high potash tomato fertilizer once first fruits have set.

Sow seeds indoors 8-10 weeks before last frost. Place seeds on the surface of a free-draining seed sowing mix and cover with a fine sprinkling of sowing mix or vermiculite. Place in a propagator at 18-21C (65-70F) until after germination, which takes 7-10 days. Do not exclude light as this helps germination.

Transplant seedlings when large enough to handle into 7.5cm (3in) pots. Plant in final situation when plants are 10cm (4in) high, 45cm (18in) apart.

For indoor crops, plant into growbags or pots. For outdoor crops, acclimatise plants to outdoor conditions for a few days before planting in sunny, fertile, moist, well drained soil, after all risk of frost.

Disappointing 2016-01-30

I sowed these peppers last year and grew them in greenhouse. First, germination rate was poor, and I only got 6 plants out of 10 seeds. The fruit remained milky green on the plants for a long time which prevented more flowers and fruit from developing. I had to harvest the peppers before they developed full colour, and they were pretty bland in taste. There was not much fruit per plant overall. This variety did much worse both in taste and quantity of fruit than bigger-sized pepper varieties I had. I grew all of them in identical conditions.
