Nurture your sweet peas to create side shoots by pinching the tips of the plant. Simply snap off the top of the stem with your fingers, just above a set of leaves. This will cause each plant to become much bushier and more vigorous. The more shoots there are, the more flowers the plant will produce!
Once your sweet peas are growing well and the highest risk of frost has passed, you can plant them outside to familiarize them to outdoor conditions for a week before planting them in their last position.
Plant your sweet peas in a light, sunny spot in your garden. Sweet peas love a rich soil, compost the planting area beforehand to enhance the soil and hold moisture during dry weather. Instead, plant sweet peas out in large decorative containers on the patio. But wherever you decide to plant them, you will need to supply appropriate support as sweet peas are climbers.
Water your sweet peas throughout the season and once your sweet pea plants are in full flower make sure that you dead-head them as soon as possible to encourage more blooms to be produced.

Thompson & Morgan strives to ensure that all its plants are delivered to you in the perfect condition for planting. While the majority of our nursery plants cope well with slight delays in intransit, sadly, the time it takes to deliver to certain locations in the UK means that we can't guarantee this for some of our smaller plug products and tender bedding and vegetable lines, which do not respond well to the extra journey time. So regretfully while we offer the majority of our live plant offering nationwide, we are unable to ship plugs, begging plants and tender vegetable plants to the following areas: HS, IV41-IV49, IV51, IV55-56, KW15-KW17, PA34, PA41-48, PA60-PA78, PA80, PH40-PH44, TR21-TR24, ZE1-ZE3
