Description

Some of our best and most popular spring bulbs wrapped up in one bargain bundle. Once planted, they’ll give many years of pleasure, adding swathes of colour to borders, containers or naturalised in grass with their display increasing year on year.

Our Spring Bulb Bonanza comprises the following varieties:

  • Tulip Darwin Mixed: Classic, pyramid-shaped blooms are borne atop tall sturdy stems making these Tulip flowers excellent for cutting. This superb collection of vibrant Darwin tulips burst into flower from mid to late spring and are more reliably perennial than other tulips. Height: 50cm (20"). Spread: 20cm (8").
  • Ipheion Mix: Clumps of bright green foliage emerge in the autumn followed by an abundance of colourful star-shaped flowers in spring. The flowers have a delightfully sweet honey fragrance. Height: 15cm (6"). Spread: 5cm (2").
  • Russian Snowdrop Puschkinia (Puschkinia libanotica): Gleaming white blooms are produced in dense clusters, each brightly striped with pale blue. Grow them in borders and rockeries or naturalise them in grass. Height: 15cm (6"). Spread: 10cm (4").
  • Tulip Ground Cover Mix: A mix of hardy and long lasting dwarf tulips in a mix of dazzling jewel colours including the star-shaped, golden blooms of Tulip tarda. Height: 25cm (10"). Spread: 15cm (6").
  • Snowdrop Giant (Galanthus elwesii): A striking giant snowdrop which bears the largest snowdrop flowers, up to 2.5cm long with a beautiful honey fragrance. This choice snowdrop loves to shelter in dappled shade at the base of trees and shrubs, but looks equally at home in an alpine garden, or naturalised in grass. Height: 30cm (12"). Spread: 10cm (4").
  • Iris ‘Eyecatcher’ -  Delicate white petals are heavily patterned with rich blue stripes, yellow splashes and blue spotting, pushing through the cold soil to brighten the late winter garden. A fantastic mini bulb for pots, rockeries, between paving and front of border. Height: 20cm (8"). Spread 8cm (3").
