Description

The Peace Lily has long been a popular plant, valued for its striking creamy-white spathes, but ‘Diamond’ is an especially sought-after variety which offers not just unusual flowers but eye-catching foliage too. Spathiphyllum ‘Diamond’ has graceful, upright leaves with slender points patterned with silver variegation, providing interest throughout the year even when not in bloom. For several months from spring onwards, it bears creamy-white spathes unfurling to reveal a central spadix. Not only does Spathiphyllum ‘Diamond’ boast stylish looks, it is also an excellent air-purifier. Height and spread: 60cm (24”).

Plant height and spread is seasonal therefore we list by pot size rather than a defined plant size. The height and spread of the plant delivered will vary depending on the season, meaning arrival images are an indication only.

How to Grow

Position Peace Lily in a warm room away from cold draughts and radiators. Average room temperatures of 18C (65F) - 24C (75F) are preferable but plants will tolerate temperatures down to 12C (55F). Spathiphyllum ‘Diamond’ requires higher light levels than other Peace Lilies due to its variegated foliage, but avoid the direct glare of the sun as this may scorch the foliage.

More Info
Water frequently throughout summer to maintain evenly moist compost. Reduce watering in winter, allowing the compost to dry out slightly between waterings. House plants should be fed regularly between March and September when they are in active growth. Peace Lilies will benefit from regular misting to increase humidity around the foliage.
