Description
An exceptionally long flowering time and undemanding nature makes Salvia nemorosa 'Senior' a worthwhile addition to any mixed border. The informal, relaxed bushy habit of this hardy perennial fits comfortably within a cottage-garden style or wildlife garden. Masses of nectar-rich purple flower clusters cover the plant from late spring through to autumn, creating a bold block of colour throughout the season as well as attracting bees and butterflies. This low-maintenance and drought tolerant shrub requires very little attention through the year and reliably looks good come rain or shine. Height: 45cm (18”). Spread: 30cm (12”).

1 x 9cm potted plant (KB0309)

How to Grow
Salvia plants prefer a moist, but well-drained soil in full sun, although once established they can also be very drought resistant.
More Info
Water regularly until salvia plants are fully established. Deadhead faded flowers throughout the summer to encourage more blooms to be produced.
